Dalriada team conquer the Rob Roy Challenge
29th June, 2018

An intrepid Dalriada team consisting of (from left) Claire Foster, Richard Smith, Adrian Campbell, Sean Browes, Mark Woodhouse, Andrew Davey, Matthew Leathem, Brian Spence, Jo Harris, Ciaran Harris, Angela Burns, Mike Selby and captain Chris Roberts participated in the Rob Roy Challenge in Highland Perthshire. Richard, Adrian, Sean, Andrew, Matthew, Brian, Jo and Ciaran opted for the 70 mile event while the rest of the team took part in the scarcely less demanding 49 mile event.
Scott Cameron was injured before the event from a fall from his bike and could not participate but came along to provide much appreciated support.
The event was sponsored and organised by Martin Currie and raises funds for a number of charities including Marie Curie, Maggie’s (a cancer charity), Prince’s Trust Scotland, Scotland’s Air Ambulance, Horseback UK and Cyrenians (a London housing charity). You can see which charities are being helped by this challenge on their site.
Our team even managed to win the team prize for the first four team members (Adrian, Richard, Matthew, Ciaran – Sean rode in with Ciaran) to complete the 70 mile challenge and will be displaying a very handsome cup in Dalriada’s Glasgow office for the next year.
Well done everyone!
