Jo Harris

Jo is an experienced, practical and commercial pensions professional from a covenant advisory background. He is a Senior Professional Trustee at Dalriada.

Jo joined Dalriada to establish our Leeds office in late 2017, coming from a covenant and deals advisory role at a big four accountancy firm.

Jo is lead professional trustee on a number of Yorkshire-based schemes and has substantial experience helping trustees and companies develop and execute journey plans for their schemes; navigating the business-as-usual and project work along the way. Many of his schemes are treading the path to buyout. Jo works hard to ensure these schemes have fitting investment strategies to protect funding, and has experience overseeing the work that’s often needed to correct benefit issues, before pressing on into the insurance market.

As a corporate transactions specialist, Jo has supported numerous healthy mergers and acquisitions, and helped where there has been financial strain too – always with a primary focus on members’ benefits, but keen to support what is often the most important asset to the membership: the employer that underpins their scheme.

His pensions experience has seen him work with a wide variety of businesses (family owned SMEs through to global, PE and listed clients), and pension schemes ranging from less than £5m to more than £500m.

In his life outside work Jo enjoys spending time with his family, and gently encouraging his children to share in his love of music (15 years of learning guitar with not a great deal to show!) and of the great outdoors; rock climbing and cycling, mostly on Yorkshire’s roads and trails.
